Hi, I'm Dominik
I started revviews to support reviewers in their essential role for the advancement of science. The goal is to provide tools and resources that make the peer review process more rewarding and efficient for everyone involved, leading to higher quality reviews. The hope is that both reviewers and editors - and by extension the authors of scientific articles - will benefit from this platform.
To this end, revviews aims to make expert review faster, fairer, more transparent, and provide incentives for high quality reviews. So far, it includes the following tools:
- An review assistant that leverages modern AI tools to help you structure and polish your own review without ghostwriting for you.
More features are planned, in particular a repository and a marketplace for reviews are under development. If you have other ideas, suggestions, or would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to reach out!

I would be more than grateful for feedback from researchers, reviewers, and editors (and may send you free review credits as a thank you). Email me at [email protected] or reach out via my personal profiles at
About me
I am currently an industry scientist in laser development. Previously, I studied physics at the University of Cambridge, did a PhD in x-ray quantum optics with atomic nuclei at the Max-Planck-Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg, and worked as a postdoc at the University of Freiburg. I have mainly reviewed for specialized physics journals, but hope that revviews will help reviewers in all fields. Please do reach out if you feel that the tools could be improved for the needs in your field!
The revviews "team" is currently just me (and a big shoutout goes to my fiancé Celia for support, advice, and lending her wonderful voice to the demo video as well as various people from the academic world and beyond for ideas and feedback). In case the idea resonates with the scientific community, it would be great to bring further creators and idea contributors on board to develop a fully-fledged platform for the needs of scientific reviewers.
